Jigsaw’s Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Toolkit
Jigsaw’s Toolkit aims to support school staff to build the mental health literacy of young people, support them to manage their mental health, and to develop help-seeking skills.
The toolkit is interactive and provides opportunities for young people to explore mental health and wellbeing. This helps to normalise conversations about mental health and asking for help. The toolkit features a mixture of methodologies, such as classroom discussions, animations, scenarios, reflexive exercises and worksheets.
It consists of 5 sections: 1/ Exploring mental health and wellbeing; 2/ Supports and challenges to our mental health; 3/ Mental health and wellbeing in your school; 4/Managing feelings; 5/ Help-seeking and being hopeful for the future.
Each section of the Toolkit ends with reflexive exercises to support and consolidate learning after delivering exercises.
