Walk in my Shoes – Resources for Parents and Guardians
Walk in my Shoes offer a range of resources to support parents and guardians’ in their understanding of their children’s mental health.
The Walk in MY Shoes blogs and articles, aimed at parents and guardians, cover subjects such as ‘Supporting your child’s mental health’, ‘Raising emotionally healthy children through the impact of Covid-19’, ‘Enhancing children’s wellbeing by protecting parents’ mental health’, as examples.
Podcasts cover topics such as ‘Supporting children leaving primary school behind’, and ‘Talking to children about suicide.’
Walk in My Shoes also provide a range of resources parents and guardians can use with young people, such as mindfulness practices, mindful colouring activities, and wellness activities.
Furthermore, in conjunction with The National Parent’s Council, St.Patrick’s Mental Health Services offer a training programme for parents and guardians which can be run in schools. The programme supports parents to promote positive mental health and wellness in their children.
