Jigsaw’s School Hub
Jigsaw believe that schools play a vital role in promoting and supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people. Their School Hub provides school staff with the following resources:
– A Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Toolkit (in English and in Gaeilge), including a video to watch introducing how to use the Toolkit,
– E-learning for teachers (Supporting wellbeing in schools course, Self-care course for teachers, LGBTI+ online course),
– School leadership (including self-care strategies for school staff, a self-care online course, strategies for promoting staff mental health, advice about mental health during the pandemic, and a guidance document for school leaders),
– School transition Toolkit (for primary school teachers to prepare young people for the change to post-primary),
– Information for parents and guardians about how to support their children’s mental health (topics covered include anger, anxiety, asking for help, bullying, college, Covid-19, exam stress, family, friends, LGBTQ+, loneliness, online pressures, perfectionism, relationships, sadness, school, worry, and more),
– and a newsletter which can be subscribed to in order to receive updates about resources on mental health and wellbeing.
