Art Therapy In Adolescence
Adolescence involves a period in which cognitive, physical, emotional and social changes occur in the life of the individual. Changes can lead to conflicts with their parents, hardships in friendships, increased concerns about the future, difficulties in expressing emotions. Art therapy can be defined as expressing emotions, recognizing emotions and transforming itself through art. Paints are replaced by words; emotions are realized through clay, painting, dance, stories. The difficulty of expressing the emotions of the adolescent can be overcome by putting art materials instead of words. The aim is to enable the adolescent to realize his creativity and learn to cope with the problems.
