Spunout – Ireland’s Youth Information Website
Spunout is Ireland’s youth information website providing information on a range of key youth issues for young people aged 16 – 25. It educates and informs readers about the importance of holistic wellbeing and how good physical and mental health can be maintained.
Topics covered in the magazine include education, employment, health and wellbeing, LGBTI+, life, mental health, news and events, and sex and relationships. Each topic area can be filtered by sub-topic. In the mental health section, readers can learn more about anxiety and stress, conditions, depression, eating disorders, getting help, helping a friend, self-care, self-harm, and suicide.
Readers can also search under the themes of advice, experiences and opinion, and as well, the section titled Support provides information on support services available for young people, including text support services, and the contact details of numerous relevant charities that offer support to young people in Ireland.
The spunout website is supported by the Irish Health Service (HSE), the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, The Community Foundation of Ireland and Rethink Ireland.
